Eyes, Smiles & Letters

Rhian is adjusting really well to having glasses. It is almost weird to see her without them already. She has really noticed a difference and has been very vocal about how well she can see things. Makes us feel a little bit likes dopes for not noticing there was vision problems sooner, but it is was it is. She goes back to the opthomologist in early December to see how her eyes are doing with the glasses. At that point they will determine if they need to patch to right one to strengthen the left. Lily has her eye appointment the same day to get her cataract re-evaluated. The opthomologist peeked at it when we took in Rhian and said it appeared to still be a non-issue but wants to do a more thourough exam in December.

We are getting ready to start Lily on some rice cereal. Probably next week. She is such a smily little one. She has started to laugh some but it isn't consistent yet. It is totally on her terms. What makes her laugh one day makes her mad the next. I suppose this is a glimpse into what we have to look forward to in years to come. We got her a GlowWorm toy at the store the other day, because in the store she loved it. Now, at home, she could care less about the thing.

Rhian just finished her first full preschool workbook and is a few pages into her second. Sometimes it is like pulling teeth to get her to sit down and do it but she is so proud of herself when she accomplishes it and she sneaks paper out of the printer to practice her letters on her own. I can't believe she will be in school next year! Yikes!
