On Tuesday we had to take Lily to a doctor's appointment. We didn't have much notice to work out childcare for Rhian, so she went to work with Mammy. Well, if you ask Rhian she will tell you she "went to school" that day. The night before she packed her Little Mermaid backpack with her preschool workbooks, some snacks, a pencil, a box of crayons and some Pet Shop toys. She laid her clothes out; she even agreed to wear pants in case she got to play on the playground so she wouldn't have to worry about not showing panties. She woke up bright and early and told Daddy "I have to get ready for school" and quickly went about her business preparing. She is carrying her "My First Dictionary".
In school she learned the word SCRUMPTIOUS and used it properly at dinnertime. For dinner that night she made pizza almost entirely by herself. She sliced (or more like chunked) the olives (with a butter knife), put on the sauce and cheese, carefully placed the pepperoni and then piled on the olives. She enjoyed the fact that the chef gets to try everything as they cook.
According to Rhian, all Lily does is "burp. poop. sleep. eat. suck her pacifier. spit. toot. and sometimes cry." Today Lily added "Chill by the pool" to the list.
While big sissy went swimming, Lily lounged in the shade. She swatted at an annoying fly and cooed away happily.
