I just tucked Rhian into bed. She was so kind to remind me to get Lily's pajamas, give Lily a goodnight bottle, and to make sure she has her pacifier with her when I put her to bed. What would I do without the little "Momma". Apparently I would put Lily to bed in a papersack after stuffing her face with ice cream and giving her an old sock to provide her comfort while in bed. I am so blessed and thankful that Rhian loves her baby sister so much. Rarely do we see jealousy, although she did admit to Poppa that is getting tired of this sharing thing. Rhian is never intentionally mean to Lily. They really have so much fun together. One might wonder how a four year old and a four month old would have fun together, but those girls find a way. Lily will come with me to get Rhian up from her nap sometimes and the two of them will lay in bed together for a good half hour. Lily threatening to slobber or spit up on Rhian's precious Sleeping Beauty bedding and Rhian squeamishly begging her not too. Lily will laugh at her sister's squirming and pleading and Rhian will laugh in response.... then we all get a case of the giggles. It's a vicious circle, really.
Lily rolls over like a whiz now. She so desperately wants to crawl. She gets her little booty in the air and her knees underneath her but her arms just don't know what to do. But look out Rhian, your toys won't be safe from the slobber for much longer.
